Why Small Group Grants?
In simple terms, we are people called to love other people. The thought might seem elementary, but its significance is life changing.
Because SLWC believes in radically loving others, we are committed to equipping you to serve. As part of our dream to see our congregation helping those in need, we are offering an opportunity for small groups to receive grants for an outreach project your group creates. Small Group Grants will be awarded up to $1,000 and as little as a few hundred dollars based on the projects chosen.
We are looking for projects that...
- Address the real needs in the community
- Are a one time project rather than a continuous program (unless you have the ability to keep the program going)
- Involve your group’s talents and is something you are passionate about doing
- Incorporate resources from you group alongside the grant money (time, equipment, money, etc.)
